LORE:                                                                                                                            Mythology suggests that asafoetida grew from the semen of a fertility God which fell to earth. It is thought to keep away fevers and colds if worn.

RECIPE:  Used as a condiment and thought to stimulate the brain.

MAGICKAL USES:     

Use in incenses to drive away evil, especially in exorcisms. Use as a purification herb in a ritual bath but beware! it is very pungent.

Use in incenses to invoke fertility gods in ritual.
