LORE:                                                                                                                            Associated with Artemis, Greek Goddess of the Moon and childbirth so mugwort is beneficial for female complaints.  

At Midsummer, girls wore garlands and girdles of mugwort while dancing around the bonfire, then thrown into the fire for protection during the coming year.  

Place a little in your shoe to prevent tiredness on long journeys. It will protect you against wild beasts, lightning and poisoning.

MAGICKAL USES:                                                                                                                          Used in feminine rituals at Midsummer as incense.

Being a herb of clairvoyance, it may also be taken as a tea to enhance divination. Steep in tepid water as a cleansing and purifying wash for magickal tools. Add to a dream pillow and place by the bed to aid prophetic dreams.
