LORE:   Chiron, the Greek centaur, taught Achilles the virtue of the yarrow to make a salve to heal battle wounds at Troy. 

Scottish highlanders made an ointment to heal wounds and stem bleeding. 

Stems of yarrow were used by the druis to divine seasonal weather.

To make a marriage charm, on a Friday during the waxing moon, take 9 flower heads of yarron and bind them together. Add a green ribbon tied in a bow and hang over the marriage bed for everlasting love. Place yarrow flowers in a wedding bouquet for 7 years of happiness.

Place a pinch of yarrow wrapped in a piece of flannel and placed under the pillow at night will encourage visions of your future spouse.

YARROW INFUSION:

1 oz yarrow with boiling water.  Pour the water over the herb to infuse for 15 mins. Strain and drink to dispel sadness. 

MAGICKAL USES:    A powerful purification herb, with its energy of the Sun and the cleansing of fire. Used to purify a person, sacred and personal space and in exorcisms.

Infuse to add to a purification bath to strengthen the spirit.

Burn to cleanse the aura.

Use an Angelica infusion to clean and cleanse surfaces, doorways and windows.
